Patrick Van Goethem makes his debut in the United Kingdom (Newcastle) on March 7, 2010. Three of Bach's finest vocal works show the range of his music for the Lutheran church: the Magnificat is one of his most popular choral works, with its dramatic choruses and colourful orchestration, the impressive Cantata 110 and Cantata 51 (that provides a virtuoso showpiece for soprano accompanied by one of the world's leading baroque trumpeteers, Chrispian Steele-Perkins).
Several of Europe's leading early music soloists, including tenor Charles Daniels, soprano Joanne Lunn and alto Patrick Van Goethem are joined by the Newcastle Bach Choir and the Newcastle Baroque on period instruments, conducted by Eric Cross.
Later this month Patrick can be heard in a variety of Bach's Passions, both St. John's Passion as well as St. Matthews Passion in several Dutch cities.

Patrick Van Goethem maakt zijn debuut in het Verenigid Koninkrijk (Newcastle) op 7 maart, 2010. Drie van Bach's mooiste vocale werken laten een gevarieerdheid zien van diens muziek die hij schreef voor de Lutherse kerk: het Magnificat is een van de populairste werken met zijn dramatische koren en rijk gekleurde orkestratie, de indrukwekkende Cantate 110 en Cantate 51 (een virtuoos hoogstandje voor sopraan) begeleid door een van 's werelds beste baroktrompettisten, Chrispian Steele-Perkins).
Een aantal van Europa's leidende oude muziek solisten, waaronder tenor Charles Daniels, sopraan Joanne Lunn en altus Patrick Van Goethem worden vergezeld door het Newcastle Bach Choir en Newcastle Baroque op historische instrumenten, gedirigeerd door Eric Cross.
Later deze maand is Patrick uiteraard te horen in een veelheid van Bach's Passies, in zowel de Johannes Passion als Matthaus Passion in diverse steden in Nederland.
